Yvonne was the apple of everyone’s eye ....... until I came along (lol)

Yvonne went to Brechin High School, which included the primary classes. She always excelled at school. At the primary level she joined the Brownies, and at the high school level joined the Guides. She stayed active with the Guides throughout her life. She played field hockey, and tennis and was desperate to become a Home Economic Teacher, but she would have had to move to Aberdeen where the best school was. That didn’t happen. The parents didn’t want to relinquish control so soon out of high school, so they allowed her to go to Bruce’s Business College in Dundee. That way she’d have to commute daily.

After her year at Bruce’s she got a rather prestigious job with Kinghorn, Solicitors, on St David Street, Brechin.

There may have been boy friends before Len. Not sure. Hamish on his put-put moped was the object of fun, so I dont think he lasted long. I’m thinking his last name may have been McPherson.

I think as newly weds Yvonne and Len lived in Dunfermline, Fife before moving to Kelty, Fife.

All this time she was working in solicitors offices. She was quite accomplished, and never failed to tell me how good she was.

I think after Fife they moved to Fenstanton.
